The Vaughn Electric Controller 160/171/194 can accommodate complex program parameters while offering a streamlined, flexible interface for the end user while independently controlling the water heater's top and bottom elements. The model number determines the highest reachable temperature. The ETC 160 goes up to 160°, and the 171 up to 171° (the highest temperature approved for residential units). The 194 reaches 194° and is for commercial units, such as the Sanitizer. These three controllers are used in electric units and the 160 model is very similar to the Heat Pump Controller, called the HPC160. This controller is designed as an energy-saving device to optimize electric water heater operations which results in lower consumption of electricity. The 160/194 is factory programmed, has an automatic reset, and flexible communications providing you with a device with no required maintenance.
