BBuffer Tanks for Hydronic Systems
Available from 10–119 gallon capacities

Vaughn buffer tanks are the solution for stable hydronic systems. In facilities where heat pumps or boilers may turn on and off frequently, a buffer tank stores thermal energy and provides a steady flow of water. This helps prevent short cycling and protects system components. Each Vaughn buffer tank is built with a heavy gauge carbon steel storage vessel. It includes four 1.5" NPT connections for easy integration with primary and secondary loops. A ¾" boiler drain simplifies sediment removal. Immersion thermostat control well ensures precise temperature control. An optional air eliminator helps keep the system free of air pockets.

Applications
Closed loop heating systems with low-mass boilers, geothermal systems, wood boiler installations, and chilled water applications.
